Delete your account

Option 1 — Inside the app

The fastest way to delete your account is from the Pawey app:

1. Open Pawey on your device.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
4. Confirm. Your account is closed immediately and your data is permanently removed on the timeline below.

Option 2 — By email

If you no longer have access to the app, send us an email from the address associated with your Pawey account:

We verify ownership of the email address before processing the request. Most requests are completed within 7 days. Deletion always completes within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Everything tied to your account is deleted across all of our systems — your sign-in identity, your database records, and your uploaded files:

• Your sign-in credentials (email, password, and any linked Apple or Google sign-in).
• All pet profiles, weights, vaccinations, medical records, and microchip data.
• All reminders, recurring reminders, appointments, and saved vets.
• Your profile information (name, phone, address, emergency contact).
• Every uploaded photo — your profile picture and pet photos, including the resized copies generated for display.
• Subscription metadata held in our systems (your App Store / Google Play subscription is unaffected — see below).

What happens to my paid subscription?

Important: deleting your Pawey account does not cancel a paid subscription.

Pawey Plus subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store), not by us, so we cannot cancel them on your behalf. To stop being charged, you must cancel the subscription separately in your device settings. You can do this at any time, but cancel before deleting your account if you want to confirm the cancellation went through.

• iPhone / iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Pawey → Cancel Subscription. (You can also manage it from the App Store: tap your profile icon → Subscriptions.)
• Android: Play Store → tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Pawey → Cancel.

Timeline & retention

Whichever path you use, your personal information, pet data, and uploaded photos are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days. Copies may persist in encrypted backups for up to an additional 30 days, after which they are permanently purged. This is consistent with the Data Retention section of our Privacy Policy.

A limited amount of data may be kept beyond this only when required by law (e.g. financial records for tax/accounting purposes), held under restricted access, and removed after the statutory retention period.
